John Henry Lane COUCH "Harry" (Peter , John David , Peter , Peter , Peter , William ) was born 21 Jun 1879 in Lyttleton, New Zealand. Parents: Peter and Minnie. He died 12 Jan 1938 in Sydney and was buried in Woronora. Harry was employed Dentist 1919 - 1938 in Sydney NSW.
Harry married Clara Lillian FEEK, daughter of Edward FEEK and Susan Jane WATERS, on c1899 in New Zealand. Clara was born 29 Aug 1874 in Foxton, New Zealand. She died 4 Nov 1939 in Woolarah, NSW and was buried 6 Nov 1939 in Woronora Cemetary. (photo)
Story: Photo below. Sometimes called Harry, John Henry Lane Couch was from New Zealand. He was a sailor and later a dentist. He came to Australia around 1914 with his family from New Zealand (photo). Although it appears he was a sailor in his early life (age 17 to 20 at least) he was registered as a dentist in NSW in 1919 at age 40. He had a practice at 210 Liverpool Street. (photo) He lived at Arden Street South Coogee (photos) and later at 128 (or 129?) O'Sullivan Street Rose Bay. He is remembered as a regal man.
